One thing I have often expressed frustration with is the slow speed of the navigator since the Flash GUI was introduced in 2.0. It improved a little with the HC200b/HC300c, but it is supposedly going to improve A LOT with the new HC800 (now shipping) and the HC250 (supposed to ship Q2 2012). Well, this [...]

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I don’t have much time to continue putting new content up on the site. There is a lot of good information here and we continue to get goo dtraffic and feedback on the site, but new content is something that has definitely been lacking. Hopefully that will change. I have [...]
I recently swapped out a couple of legacy HC300′s for new HC200B’s. This has the same processor as the HC300C.
I shot a quick little video comparison of the speed difference between the two.

This came across the wire this afternoon: Dear Valued Control4 Dealer, Many of you know of ControlUI, a small company based in Massachusetts who over the last three years has developed Control4-branded applications for the iPhone, iPod touch, and most recently, iPad. So, I have been thinking about it, and I have decided C4 DIY should have a fun and cool logo. I know some people in the logo design business, and will probably reach out to them in the next couple of weeks when I get caught up. For now, I figured I might ask if anyone out there does it for a hobby (or a profession) and might be interested in putting something together for use on the site?
If so, shoot me an email (dan@c4diy.com) and we can discuss it further.

So, I would be willing to bet that every household that has Control4, has at least one DVR. I would also be willing to bet that the DVR is probably the most commonly used video source. Have you thought to program the DVR to turn on the DVR? Realize the potential of this button!
